I love being outdoors hiking with my family and dog, but currently spend most of my "free" time as a typical soccer and basketball mom. My interest in learning and solving new challenges has led me along a non-linear path to become a Strategic Programs Manager for the Software Network. I started at Intel running local charitable giving and volunteer programs, simply because it sounded like loads of fun (which it was). I helped launch the Intel Software Partner Program and managed Intel's presence at software developer events (JavaOne, LinuxWorld, GDC, etc.). I've been an energy consultant, intern at Tokyo Electric Power Co., and Rotary Scholar in France. My French is fluent, but Japanese and German are rusty. I'm an Arizona Wildcat and Georgetown Hoya. Ah, Friday, my favorite day for watching a few videos at work. I've been monitoring how many developers are watching all of the segments of the video series we've posted on the Take Five site. It is natural that not everyone will make it to the end, but I'm wondering if there is anything we could do better. First, [...]
We've posted two brand new Intel Mash Maker videos from IDF Shanghai on our Take Five Video site. Take a look, they are on the "Community Tab" under Video Categories.
Some of my favorite videos from the Game Developers Conference are now posted on Take Five including Game Development tools from Softimage, Luxology, Allegorithmics, TDVision, and Intel. And, don't miss Lee Bamber, CEO of Game Creators talking about the N-Core Revolution.
Are you thinking of entering the 2008 Game Demo Contest? Watch these videos from the 2007 Winners to get the inside scoop on how to improve your chances of winning.
First videos from Game Developers Conference: sneak peaks(!) at pre-release games (Far Cry 2 and Bionic Commando) running on the just announced Skull Trail 8-Core Extreme Gaming platform. Also, Elliot Garbus - Intel VP on his vision for multicore and graphics, and Leigh Davies on optimizing DirectX for Multicore ... Are you game?
Today is the launch of the new ISN video site with the tag line: "Take Five." The site highlights senior Intel Technologists and new video series, links videos with blogs, and features new capabilities such as "Embed It" and "Direct URLs" for sharing videos. Watch the video introduction to the site.
I've just posted the first in the new ISN Technologist video series, starting with Tim Mattson on Random Numbers and Floating Point Calculations and Ed Grochowski on Energy/Instruction. The idea is to bring a series of short technical videos from Intel Principal Engineers and strategists. What do you think?
I've read your comments on ISN videos (www.intel.com/software/videos), and took on the challenge to post more videos each quarter, make them snack sized and loaded with technical information. This blog post is to open the dialog - what makes technical videos work for you? How do you use and share ISN videos?
