About a year ago, I blogged about onStar Service for PCs and geek squads will soon become a thing of the past. I am very happy to inform you that the technology that can make some of these concepts a reality is coming soon. Although, I should point out that all the features I discuss in the above blog posts may not be immediately available, but the technology is surely evolving and heading in that direction.
In this video, Kevin Unbedacht, Director of Strategic Alliance - Symantec Corporation, talks about the future directions of Intel vPro Technology. Kevin talks about upcoming features like client initiated remote access & hardware encryption for the hard disk drives. Can you take advantage of this technology? Yes, the next version of the Intel AMT SDK includes features discussed in this video will be made available on the manageability developer community very soon.
If you are serious about taking advantage of this technology in your manageability application then do let me know, and there is a chance that I may be able to get you access to the new version of Intel AMT SDK before it is made public on the website.
I am really sorry!! I was asked to take this video down temporarily (& I refused to take down this blog post). I will make the video available as soon as I am allowed to do so.
Update:
I have embedded the video back.
