I am 100% jealous of the fact you are at Cannes, and I am not. Have fun and enjoy it, and if you see a Red Cam or a Thompson Viper camera sitting all alone, and sad...grab it for me would ya? :)

A great day at Cannes

Yesterday evening was great. At the red carpet some of the best actors of the world showed up. Hundreds of professional and private photographers used the opportunity to get fresh shots of Greg Pit and Dustin Hoffman. And our students mixed up with the people really enjoying the special atmosphere here in Cannes. The whole night the streets has been crowded with beauties well dressed man and thousands of people, watching this amazing event.
A lot of them were out the major part of the night but in the morning everybody show up just in time.
Then they picked up their camera-equipment and went out to get some great shots. Unfortunately the weather has chanced, it’s cloudy know and sometime raining. The teams who have planed to get outdoor shots are trapped. But I went out with group who wants to take background shots on the local market. Some of the people there asked what we are doing and after being informed that these are film-students they was more then welcomed. Some even offered fruits and cheese. The students tries to use some technical tricks in their shooting and I was more then pleased to show them some of tricks which I have learned as a professional photographer. We got really nice pictures or their film.

Tomorrow I have to leave Cannes and will come back next week for the award-ceremony. It makes me a little bit sad to leave such an amazing combination of mentors and students running for some new films to prove their skills and creativity.

Please watch the results in the internet on the page of the www.reelideasstudio.com. It’s more then worth to see what these students are creating.

Greetings from Cannes
