The 2nd OpenSolaris Developers Summit is this weekend in Santa Cruz, CA. This is the bi-annual event to get the community together face-to-face and hash out issues and make decisions and educate ourselves.
I went to the last Summit in October 2007. It was great to meet folks in person that I had been interacting with on email for months. I have been asked to participate on an OpenSolaris Advocacy panel, which will address the issues of how to get the Community past the tipping point and how to scale the infrastructure (decision-making, web site, processes) to keep up with the next 100,000 users.
I'll keep my eyes and ears open while I'm in Santa Cruz and keep you up to date on this blog!
