We launched the open source version of Mobile Platform SDK 1.2 on both Intel Software Network and Sourceforge.net in July this year. To date, more than 2000 people have downloaded the SDK and accessed the articles and sample codes about using MPSDK to create their mobile aware applications. Using early feedback from some developers, we are now working on a new release of Mobile Platform SDK 1.2 for the Linux OS, which is planned to be launched in January, 2008.
In order to better plan and improve the MPSDK to support developers who want to create more compelling mobilized applications, we have launched an online survey to gather feedback. We want to understand how it has been used to date, and what developers view as key features in the current MPSDK 1.2, and what other features they are looking for to support their development work. We appreciate your time and hope you will spend the few minutes necessary to complete this survey. Please share your experience and opinion here.

The existing one is Windows version which provides the common API cross XP, Vista, WM for PPC and SP. Linux is the new platform we extend to support, and the first OS distribution will be Ubuntu 7.04 or above on laptop. We are now preparing the release which is expected for download in early Feb.
