Hi Bin,

Can the MPSDK support devices with non-Intel ARM processors? Could elaborate on the supported processors? One ISV is interested in using the MSPSDK for Samsung devices?

Thanks, Thai

Hi bob, sorry for the delay. Due the historic problem, most of our work was developed in vs2003 environment. However, those vs2003 projects in MPSDK open source package are only used to build up runtime environment, it won't affect your development under vs2005 environment. After the runtime environment is set up successfully, you can develop your own sample code by using vs2005 without any problem.

Why does the latest Version 1.2 SDK rely on Microsoft's Visual Studio .NET 2003? Or is that a typo? You are scaring me! If you are unable to move to VS 2005 for technical reasons, I would think twice before starting to use it. If you are so busy that you cannot move to VS 2005, it does not make me feel good. The debugger alone is worth the effort to go to VS 2005. Boost my confidence. Move to VS 2005 and tell me how easy it was.

I think it's a new start since we released the Intel® Mobile Platform SDK v1.0 and v1.1 before. The model of open source will let developers more comfortable and free to use and integrate the SDK with their own applications. Meanwhile we are looking forward to good feedbacks to get this software more usable.

It's great to see you blogging Joe. I am very much looking forward to launching the open source SDK on ISN. The team here has been working hard at getting everything ready for launch. There will be several *very cool* things happening here in the near future!
