Chris, Alex, and Mike, thank you for your comments. We have been listening (at least, I have). I haven't responded because I was running around like a chicked with no head last week at GDC, but you've given us a lot of ideas, and things to think about (like making sure we're not just copying what other people are doing - what fun is that?).

It might take us a while to get some of these things planned and turned into reality, but I'm excited, and if we can make even half of the ideas we have into reality, there are going to be some really cool things happening soon at ISN.

Thanks again! :-)

Yeah, we (I) joked about getting cool hardware, but above all just engage, value and show you're interested in partnering with your community in some meaningful way.

Intel copying the strategy of another company isn't surprising. Its business as usual.

I think what Alex mentions is good also. I am for anything that builds community and momentum around what you are trying to accomplish for Intel. Do you have a manifesto around that yet?

I agree with Chris, some form of trumping the Microsoft / AMD laptop thing, can't just copy though.

Send out hands-on demo\loaner\gift units (laptops\UMPC) sporting Intel chips for us to put through their paces, review, drool on, etc. Talking about things is nice, seeing a demonstration is better, but nothing says surprise like, here, use this for a few weeks and blog about what you find! Microsoft and AMD were on to something - it was just poorly implemented and disclosed.

An Intel sponsored tech blogger summit-type event would rock. Fly in some B or C list bloggers for events\pressers\news\reviews and start some organic growth in the blogging community around Intel and its future directions.
